Nach knapp zwei Wochen Testphase wurde die aktuelle Beta für den Steam-Client beendet und das Update für alle Nutzer veröffentlicht. Größte Neuerung des Patches ist die Option zur manuellen Auswahl des Content-Servers, von dem man seine Spiele- und Update-Downloads bezieht. Dies sollte allerdings nur genutzt werden, wenn die Downloadgeschwindigkeit langsamer ist als sie sein sollte, ansonsten sollte man die Einstellung Steam überlassen, auch wenn nicht Deutschland als Download-Region ausgewählt wird. Außerdem wird nun Windows 7, das momentan als Beta-Version verfügbar ist, korrekt im Hardware-Survey erkannt und auch ein Problem mit dem Steam Community Overlay in Dawn of War 2 behoben. Darüber hinaus wurden auch Teile der deutschen Übersetzung von Steam aktualisiert. Wie immer wird das Update automatisch runtergeladen und installiert, bei Teilnehmern der Beta bedankt sich Valve wie üblich.
